Ingredients
- Olive oil
- 2 brown onions, chopped
- 2 carrots, chopped
- 2 celery sticks, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- Plain flour, for coating
- Salt and pepper
- 4 osso bucco
- 1 cup (250ml) white wine
- 400g can diced tomatoes
- 1 cup (250ml) beef stock
Method
- Preheat oven to 160c
- Cook veges in a pan with oil until softened. Put aside
- Coat osso bucco in flour and brown it in same pan with some more oil. Place in baking dish and spoon the softened veges over the top
- Boil wine in same pan on high for 2min, then add tomatoes and stock. bring to boil
- Pour over meat (covering all) and bake covered for 2hrs
